We stayed at Nelson's place for 3 nights for our Everglades and Biscayne National parks visit. It is about an hour drive to Everglades and 50 minutes to Biscayne visitor's centers. The property is spacious and had plenty of comfortable beds for my family of six. It is conveniently located near Miami's hospital district so if you are visiting for Miami's city life attractions (we went to Calle Ocho Walk of Fame), this is a great place to stay at.
The place felt relatively safe and there are outdoor security cameras, with two gated parking spots inside the property. We were not able to use the jet spa as we got back very late every time and I think the filter needed cleaning the one time we tried to use it. Nelson is very responsive and a great host and would definitely recommend his place!
